Win Over ₦4,000,000 in the Alpine Fellowship Writing Prize

The theme of the 2019 Alpine Fellowship Annual Symposium is ‘Identity’. The winner and two runners up will be invited to attend the Fjällnäs symposium. The winner will receive £10,000 cash prize, presented by the poet, John Burnside. £3000 goes to the second-place winner, and £2000 goes to the third-place winner.

Rules

  1. Open to all nationalities, aged 18 and above.
  2. All genres permitted.
  3. A maximum of 2,500 words per entry.
  4. Limited to one entry per person.
  5. Text must not have been published, self-published or accepted for publication in print or online, or have won or been placed in another competition at any time.
  6. Entries are entirely anonymous and therefore judging is unbiased.

Submissions Deadline: April 1st

Top 100: May 15th

Top 25: June 1st

Announcement of Winners: 15th June

    What format is this maximum of 2,500 words per entry? Like a Synopsis or treatment of the whole story or an excerpt of the first 2,500 words?
