Response from the book “The stars are Ageless” by Omoni Oboli.
I have more than one chapter as My favourite chapters of the book and they are:
1. Sister Lizzy – for the strength of a mother to ensure life works for her children and everyone that connects to her. Her life brought forth two strong women of our times…Onome and Omoni. And reading of Sister Lizzy sure inspires me.
2. Dealing with Loss – Because i have had to deal with my own fair share of loss and could so relate with the hurt and pain. 3.Learning to breathe again- Because Omoni exposed her vulnerability to the world when she talked of the “panic attacks”. This is a brave thing to do. Not everyone can be that vulnerable to open up thier lives to the world.
4. Why did i get married- for her Love story that inspires one to yet believe in Love
5. The Squad- shows the importance of having certain people in our lives that you can always be “you” with and people who will always be your support systems
5. We got served- Also shows her challenges and the how tenacious she remained to ensure victory inspite of setbacks.
My biggest inspiration is first God and all women who make it through everyday tenaciously inspite of the demands and challenges that are perculiar to each one.
I’m in love with every chapter of the book because it has it’s own elevating message.
That notwithstanding, my favourite chapter is “Learning to breathe again”.
This chapter gives my heart a strong grip because for me, herein lies the final and overall message of the book.
No matter the obstacles faced in life, the stars are ever ageless and must continue to glow. The gold must go through the fire to be most beautiful.
A hero is not celebrated when the villian knocks him down. He is rather celebrated when he gets back to his feet and defeat the villian. This was Omoni’s story! Situations knocked her really hard but she has learnt to breathe again. Breath is a sign of life, as such, despite the fights, don’t give up on life!
Despite her health challenge, she has still learnt to breathe. A wise man accepts there are challenges, faces it, conquers it and learns to live above it. So I’m certain she’d find her way above Panic attacks. Amen!
Life’s experiences are only there to make us learn and for the wise, get better. In her words, ” All my experiences have made me the woman I am today, fearless, unshakable, unstoppable”. So for me, I got the full dose message in this last chapter and this makes it my favourite.
I can still rise after so many falls!
My greatest inspiration is first, that those who put their trust in the Lord shall never be put to shame. Next is that Stars are not made in a day. They go through a process, sometimes rigorous, sometimes pleasurable. This process will determine the circumference of your glow.
The whole of her story is an inspiration! An inspiration to never look back on the journey to success because victory certainly lies ahead.
I love every chapter
Chapter two Dealing eith the loss ..Help me so much being struggling with the loss of my Dad, n my mum detoraiting health condition the fear of lossing her too,the chapter help me relate it to my self…Is like it ws abt me..
Its nice
You are doing a great job here
I love every chapters but My favourite part of the story is fighting for what is yours ,protect it and guide it in the case of okafor law between omoni and her accuser she knew it was truely hers so she applied wisdom to it by handling the issue in a brilliant way infact she tought me to know how to handle issue especially when i know the thing is truely mine that i should be able to guide and protect it with wisdom no matter the length of the accused case
It also made me understand Lot of blackmail celebrity face and how people go around broafcasting it on social media without thorough investigation or hearing from the horses mouth just because they want to be known as good blogger or what to me ooo i think is good we investigate throroughly before jumping into conclusions .indeed the stars are truely ageless
*Another part i love in the book is learning to breathe again i now understand that i should never give up in whatever i do even if i must have failed millions of time i should be able to rise again the way to success requires a lot of effort
My greatest inspiration is for all my effort to be successful in life should come to pass just like mrs omoni she tried all her possible best to fulfill all the promises she made to her mother i wish i can one day fulfill the promises am always making to my mum not minding how difficult it might be……aunty omoni your book is seriously an inspiration to me God bless u and your family .kisses
