This Author Chose OkadaBooks Over Amazon

Ejiro Emenike, an author on OkadaBooks, has shared how she was able to convince a reader of hers (who isn’t in the country) to download her books via the platform. The reader was reluctant, probably because he had never heard of the brand, so he suggested Amazon to the author but she insisted and told him she prefers OkadaBooks.

Even though Ejiro has the choice use OkadaBooks and Amazon for publication, she chose the former. Here’s what she said:

“So I met this person online who gets to follow all my stories. He is from the states and loves to read. On the release of my first novel, “Diamond and Stones“, he had sent a private message asking me how he could get the novel and I pointed out that it was simply for him to download from OkadaBooks.

Feeling quite reluctant, he asked if I had my novels on Amazon. I informed him that I prefer OkadaBooks thus far and besides, I was aware of the challenges associated with foreign online stores. After a while, that ship sailed.

Then, with the release of “BEAUTY IN THE MIDST OF ASHES“, we had another conversation, this time he stated categorically that he wouldn’t mind if all my books are on Amazon because that’s the only way he can buy them; I had to clarify things.

Then what appeared like a swift happened! ? He told me that he wants to sign up with OkadaBooks and he had began the process. After a while, I assisted him with the entire steps. He is in the process of buying “Diamond and Stones” before he gets others! ?”

This makes our hearts dance and smile in satisfaction because it means that we are doing a good job. Although Ejiro risked losing a reader’s interest over her preferred ebook publishing platform, she chose us and this has fuelled our passion to work harder.
