Barely a week after this glorious woman received an honorary degree from Duke University, she will be awarded another by the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
On the 3rd of July, it was announced on the school’s website that she would be among 4 other world-leading figures in the field of arts and social activism to receive this degree.
This is what the University said:
…Her books have challenged perceptions around issues such as identity and race, and her internationally renowned TED talk ‘We should all be feminists’ had a global impact on conversations about gender equality.
The degree will be a Doctor of Literature degree and it will be awarded during the school’s 2018 graduation ceremonies that will be held between today, July 25th and Friday, July 27th.
