Ugly Amy and her long red hair
Tightly wrapped in a bun with grandma’s blue bow
My best friend Kate told the other mean girls
They all giggled quietly and Kate never said hi again
Fuck off nerdo, your smile stinks
My teeth slammed the hard steel locker more often than i thought
Jerk!
But my voice turned sobs and faced the hard ground
Once a tiny boy with big arms ran across the lacrosse pitch
Will you be my val? Promise not to eat me for lunch?
Then came a loud mocking laughter
and the whole school saw me trip on the lawn
Big fat Molly always screeched each time i made to hold her
Some old white witch with fallen teeth had scared her as a little kitten
Grandma said i was pretty
Grandma said all liars will die, she died five days after
Mom said every guy would love my lovely yellow dress
But they’d rather kiss it than kiss my big giant mouth
So prom came and left
and off went my first kiss
Once Mrs. Dorothy had made a joke about me having fine large teeth
Mom had straightened her up instantly
and the Wallace kids never came to play again
Even mom’s peace offering of tasty pancakes couldn’t sway them
I never did like them noisy kids anyways
Their mom sure got a loud messy mouth
Next morning, mom put up a sign on our front yard
Every child deserves to be loved
No one stopped to buy her golden brown eggs
Big Sam and Tracy never let me in their rooms again
Death has come to play
In his black and white and orange
Do you love me?
And when he said yes i slept with butterflies in my stomach
Death has come to play
I’m Alice through the looking glass
Hades, is this your new pet?
No one ran away from me, but they did stare for long
Scaring questioning eyes watched me
No mocking laughters, they just smiled and called me pretty
Here, you do love me right?
Then stay with me
In death’s cold embrace i stayed
Mom will find my body dangling from my ceiling fan
Tomorrow or next
Life absent from my skinny body
Tracy will blame Sam for calling me a frog
Sam will only nod and weep
Everyone will notice me gone
Ugly Amy with fine large teeth
Death has come to play
