Karanta Cikin Hausa - Read in English

The queue seems endless,
but the people all waited

In the hot scorching sun,
they all stood, burnt

Then came a man tanned,
who wouldn’t wait for his turn

Off he went to the front,
not minding what they thought

They rushed at him in anger,
and poof! he went for cover

Hiding, he stood panting,
then she came to tap him

He was nearly out of his trousers,
‘Madam! What’s the matter?’

‘Sorry, I saw you battered,
and thought I could help with water’

‘Oh yes! water will do’,
he drank and no thank you

She looked at him with scorn,
what a terrible man, so raw.
