FAQ 1: Can I download the book I purchased on Okadabooks on my phone or laptop?
Books purchased on Okadabooks can only be read on the OkadaBooks mobile app or website. You need to either visit the OkadaBooks website or download the app from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to access books. Getting started on the OkadaBooks app is very easy! See HERE.
FAQ 2: I am not satisfied with the book I purchased, can I return it and get a refund?
Books purchased on OkadaBooks cannot be refunded. We advise that before purchasing a book from an author you’re not familiar with, that you read through the synopsis and reviews of other readers, this should help you make a more informed decision on whether to proceed or not.
FAQ 3: I no longer want to purchase books on OkadaBooks. Can my wallet balance be refunded to me?
Funds withdrawal is only available for authors who have made sales on the OkadaBooks platform. Readers cannot withdraw funds in their wallets meant for book purchases.
FAQ 4: Is there an OkadaBooks windows app?
FAQ 5: Does OkadaBooks proofread a book before making it live on the platform?
No. Once you click the publish button your book is out there. We manually verify books after they’ve been published, and only books with pristine editing get the highly coveted OkadaBooks blue tick of quality. Not confident in your editing skills? Send a copy of your book to firstname.lastname@example.org to get a quote for any of our editing services.
FAQ 6: Why is my book available to read-only on the app?
Authors determine where their books will be available during publishing. You can enable sales on the OkadaBooks web store from your publishing dashboard. Kindly contact email@example.com if you require further assistance.
FAQ 7: The book I purchased is not voluminous and has fewer pages than I expected. What should I do?
Volume does not equate to quality. However, OkadaBooks is a marketplace where authors come to sell their wares (books). They decide the price, number of pages, title, e.t.c. If you aren’t satisfied with the content of a book bought, we advise that you leave a review on the book’s page notifying the author of your, if there is an update on the book, you will be notified.
FAQ 8: I got an error 404 while trying to read a book on the website. What does that mean?
This error message means your internet connection is unstable. Kindly check your connection, refresh your browser and try again.
FAQ 9: I refilled my wallet with more funds than I wanted. Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we cannot issue a refund. The good news is that the funds in your wallet do not expire and can be used to buy a book at any time.
FAQ 10: I would like to report book theft/plagiarism. What should I do?
Do you have proof of the original owner of the published book? If yes, kindly send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org attaching evidence of claims.
