Yes, you read right! And OkadaBooks is the first company to make Farida Ado’s books available digitally. ?
Farida Ado is a Nigerian author who writes only in Hausa. Her works are mainly romance novels, or littattafan soyayya (books of love), and they feature polygamy and inter-generational drama. She said:
Women turn to romance novels to figure out how to live their own lives; and I try to reflect the reality of society in my stories.
Farida Ado made TIME Magazine’s 2018 list of Next Generation Leaders, where she was described as ‘Kano’s Jane Austen’. This is what the magazine said about her:
Ado’s novels reflect the daily concerns and preoccupations of her contemporaries: how to get along with the multiple step-siblings from your father’s several wives; how to deal with a new, younger wife in your home; how to maintain family harmony while striving for independence; and what to do (or not do) about a husband’s infidelity.
She has published 6 books and they are available on OkadaBooks for an affordable price of ₦150 only.

I wish I could read Ms. Ado’s books but I do not speak Hausa. I would love to be able to buy some of her novels to donate to local women of the area so they can enjoy her work. Is there a way to do this?
