There is usually this feeling of laziness that comes after you have published your first book. There is also pressure from your readers to write and publish another. When you do that, they’ll still require you to publish a third book and it goes on and on and on… Well, it is your fault for being such a darn good writer. ?
It is very rare to find writers who rush back to the keyboard with ease to work on another book, very rare. If you are ready to write and publish your second book but you feel uninspired and out of ideas, read on and be prepared to pack your bags because I have collated 5 places for you to visit on behalf of your next masterpiece.
1. Your bedroom
Okay, maybe you do not have to pack your bags for this one. Sometimes, you do not need to wander too far in search of inspiration. It could just come to you when you’re in bed, staring at the ceiling and having random thoughts. The bedroom is the most relaxing part of a house and the inspiration for your next book could just be behind your curtains. ?
2. Take a Vacation
Now, you can pack your bags. Leave your house, your city, your state, heck, your country! Go to that spot where you know you and your brain will be comfortable enough to generate ideas. Pressure could be obstructing and sitting on your next book. Push it aside and embrace what comes next. ✈
3. Hiking
Your environment could be a hindrance. You should abandon civilization for a few hours, get in touch with nature and smell the trees as you walk past them. You can also try camping while you’re at it. You never know what could turn on your idea switch in the jungle. ⛰
4. The Internet
One of man’s greatest inventions is the internet. Its most unique attribute is the variety of contents it contains. Use this to your advantage and surf until you find that thing you need to get writing again. ??
5. Okija Shrine
If you try the above 4 options and you get no results, then this place could just be the one. Go talk to the gods and tell them about your concerns. ?
Good luck!
