I never really had a reason to believe in love,
but that was before we met.
Like all things, it was meant to be a day like the rest.
Then, you came smiling and my world began spinning.

You were lost and you needed directions
“Hey” You said, and out went my senses.
You see, like you too, I was lost.
I was lost in the moment,
I was lost in time, and
I was especially lost in those blue eyes.

You smiled at my foolishness,
And right there I knew that this was meant to be.
I never believed in love at first sight,
But I was quickly becoming a believer.

Fate brought us together,
You were lost and had to find your way,
It was late and I had to get back home.
But seeing you standing there, I knew I was home.

You weren’t really lost, you were only being redirected,
because your true destination wasn’t on the road;
Your true destination was my heart.

It’s really funny that when love comes knocking it, usually knocks down the door.
I was your destination,
You were my home.
