Karanta Cikin Hausa - Read in English

Decades ago.
Our predecessors allowed them in,
only ended up being an intruder into the lives of the peaceful people.

Though their coming at first deceived us,
because of all their promises. Promises!

That made us become follies. Follies!

Who knew not their right hands from their left hands.
Alas!

They came to reap from where they haven’t sown.

They sucked our mother’s breasts until it became flappy and as flat as
the slippery floor.

Although they left us after being threatened, we could never be the same again.

They left injecting us with corruption, enmity among brothers.
Indeed!
They left us but not as we were created.
