For every journey, God knows the end from the beginning. God knows in the calendar of life that Goliath would be born, and he also knows that he would one day mock the Hebrews.
While Goliath was in his father’s house growing, God had already sent the little David to the bush. While Goliath was walking on the paved road in the street, David was walking on the thorns in the bush. While Goliath was learning how to fight men, God was teaching David how to kill lion.
God knew that David would face a lot of battles in his life, and that was the reason why he started preparing him ahead of time by introducing him to series of fierce and tough battles. Guess what! If David had run away from the roaring lion, he would definitely run away when he faced Goliath.
If the Lord is introducing you to hunger, thirst, heartbreak, series of disappointments, pains, starvation, frustration, lack etc., then it’s for a purpose, and when you have finally seen the reason why he allowed you to witness those things, it’s then you will believe that, “All things work together for good unto them that love him.” (Rom. 8:28)
When David was facing lion and bear, he did not know that all things would work together for good until the day he was standing face to face with Goliath. The reason why David did not fear the giant everyone was running away from was he had handled cases that were tougher than that in the bush― killing lion and bear.
The reason why God is allowing you to face those challenges is when tomorrow comes and you face any challenge, (because life is full of ups and down and challenges from all angles), then you will simply recall that you have handled tougher situation than these and you can overcome.
